Manfei Li is a Swiss-based filmmaker and storyteller of Chinese origin. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Bern from the age of 12, she draws from a blend of cultural influences in her creative work.

In 2025, she completed her Master’s degree in Film Animation with her graduation film The Taste of Pineapple Bread. Her films are often characterized by a poetic sensibility and a playful, childlike aesthetic that explores themes of memory, observation, and surreal transformation.

Manfei's work reflects a personal fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, offering stories that are both intimate and imaginative.
